CACKey is a program that runs locally and talks only to your local hardware. No information is ever transmitted by CACKey to any remote system other than the smart card.

The following sensitive information is collected and used and shared only between the device running CACKey and the smart card:

• Your user PIN, which is used to authenticate to the smart card;
• Hashed information to be digitally signed by the smart card; and
• Signed information from the smart card to authenticate to remote systems.
